WHAT IS THE BOX LACROSSE SEASON?
Season starts with evaluations for Novice-Midget in middle of April. After this we have temporary teams. They play mini-games and are adjusted for fairness. Season and playoffs finish the week before school is out for the summer. Selected players will represent PALA at provincials the weekend after July long week. Season starts for mini-tyke and tyke near the end of April and runs till near the end of June.
WHAT ARE EVALUATIONS?
Evaluations are a process of assessing the skills of the players so we can attempt to create even teams in each division. The athletes will do various drills and scrimmages. After the evaluations mini game will take place with temporary teams.
WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK DOES EACH DIVISION PLAY?
Scheduling for one arena is a difficult task with varying team numbers in each division year to year. We strive to keep things similar year to year. Mini-Tyke and Tyke have been Tuesday/Thursday for the last few years. Novice tended to be Monday/Wednesday with other days mixed in. Pee-Wee, Bantam, and Midget all have varying scheduled games.
